Is Mother Nature aware that I live in Florida? I'm not sure after today. I got up at 11am to be at a lecture at 12:30 and it was 39 degrees out. Too damn cold. However, the fun part was seeing people walking around in flip flops, some with socks, and hoodies freezing their asses off. I have coats galore and close-toed shoes, but I still needed hot cocoa. Anyway, other than inclimate weather, the lecture was good. Max Osceola, Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Council member, spoke of Seminole history, the mascot controversy, and the tribe's purchased Hard Rock Inc. from the British company that owned it. Very cool. After the lecture, I went to the library, where my Royal Canadian Navy research goes nowhere, even after consulting with the reference desk. Other errands were run and I've decided that Hallmark values their cards much too highly. However, I still bought some and will be mailing them soon. Enough of my rambling, good night.
