As I sit in my den, less than eight hours from Em's graduation, all I can think about is basketball. Game 1 between the Lakers and TWolves was tonight with the Lakers getting a big road victory, 97-88. Shaq scored twenty-seven, but more importantly hit nine free throws, if only he could do that every night. Kobe had his usual successful night with twenty-three points, including ten in the third quarter. However, the big assets tonight were Derek Fisher hitting four treys and Karl Malone scoring seventeen and grabbing eleven rebounds while holding Garnett to only sixteen points. This guarantees at least a split and less agony than the last two weeks. However, a court appearance next week could make Game 4 interesting. Damn Judge Ruckriegle and his schedule.
